Nick's Diaries
Day 8, Began 11:38am
Today I decided to break from schedule. I checked my mail, receiving my usual allotment of fossils and my letter from the HRA. My score for the day is 7850, just a little above what I had before.
When I unpacked my fossils I had a trilobite, a stegosaurus head, and what appears to be a brontosaurus head. I decided I would sell them all, so I can try to quickly pay off my debt. As I left the house to go to Tanuki's, I also grabbed my white umbrella, and my purple tie-dye shirt to sell.
I got myself a fair amount of cash for all those items. Most bone structures sell for 4000 bells or more, many of them closer to 5000 bells! I left Tanuki's shop with my shovel in hand knowing today I would dig up fossils before running errands for anyone. As I zoomed through town, I found a total of 3 fossils, and posted them using the paper I had received yesterday.
Then I began my daily routine. Now that I have so many neighbors, I might need to work up a new pattern of how I travel through town. My current regimen seems poorly planned now. Well, first I brought a new outfit to Karupi. She is stunning in her new fading dark/light blue outfit. It is an apt outfit since she lives on the beach!
Many of my neighbors on the west side had no need of an errand ran. So I headed from the west side to the east side, along the beach.
WHOA! A walrus is standing near a tree on the beach. Having never seen him before, I ran up to introduce myself. After the greetings we chatted a little, it appears he is just traveling through, and was looking for a meal. I just happened to have a fish with me (like always), so I offered it to him. He munched on it and thought it was the most delicious fish he had ever had. He didn't want to just take food from me, so he gave me some wallpaper in return. I hope it is wallpaper I like. I haven't found one I like yet, so I still have my cracked feudal style walls.
I ran home from the beach ignoring all my neighbors who watched me run past. When I got inside, I put up the wallpaperÂ… UGH! Pegboard walls. This simply will not do. I hate pegboard. Ah well, I might as well go back and check on the east-side neighbors.
I did find more tasks for myself. I returned a tablecloth to Chiamazu, for which he gave me more paper. This is the coolest paper I've ever seen. It has a forest scene at the top, and mushrooms at the bottom. Also, I brought a magazine to Bu-ke; she gave me some brown camouflage clothes she didn't fit into anymore. I just might keep these.
