Posted by Jess on October 9, 2005 @ 5:49 PM EST
Members of Club Nintendo (Japan only) will be able to use their points to obtain an Animal Crossing: Wild World Calendar (April 2006 - March 2007) for 200 club points. If you register your copy of Wild World with the Nintendo Club, you can get the calendars at a discount 100 club points!

We'll all be watching on Ebay, but maybe with some luck NOA might offer some freebies for registering AC:WW at www.nintendo.com... Hint hint, guys. :)

Posted by Jess on October 6, 2005 @ 6:20 PM EST
As promised, we've obtained 28 screenshots from the new Famitsu. These can be found on the screenshot page in the Wild World section. A very special thank you to YOSHI'SASUPERSTAR for providing them. We've also got some other pictures up, including the Japanese boxart.

Because of yesterday's DS conference, we an idea what some of the Wi-Fi hardware will look like. Check out our wi-fi guide for more info.

DS Price Drop in Europe
Posted by AquaDoctorBob on September 25, 2005 @ 3:59 PM EST
On Friday, Nintendo announced that the price of the Nintendo DS in Europe would be cut by 10 (to 89.99), and in euro-zone countries, dropped to 129 euros. Hoping to take advantage of the recent popularity of Nintendogs (and to gain an edge over the PSP), Nintendo will also introduce DS/Nintendogs bundles for 99. Neat!

Nintendo Power Wild World Article
Posted by Jess on September 23, 2005 @ 9:11 PM EST
For those of you who don't normally receive Nintendo Power, you might want to take a look at issue 197. On page 18, there's a half page article on AC:WW called "Wild World in View." Previews of the current Nintendo Power issue can be found at their official site. Thanks to Totey for letting us know. :)

Animal Crossing: Wild World box art
Posted by Crowster on September 15, 2005 @ 5:28 PM EST

The official Wild World box art has been released. I suppose the planet fits the game well ... with the log rolling effect and the fact that you will be playing wirelessly with players from around the world!

Have YOU pre-ordered your copy? Only 80 days, 20 hours, and 31 minutes left!

Represent!
Posted by AquaDoctorBob on September 8, 2005 @ 6:53 PM EST
Now you actually can form your own opinions, democratically, in the poll box I added to the right content pane. I just finished coding that thing by hand; it's not all that impressive, but I'm still proud of myself! :P

Rumor has it that Chrono's project is ready for launch as well. Stay tuned!

ACDS Title Announced
Posted by AquaDoctorBob on September 8, 2005 @ 12:09 AM EST

Posted by Jess on September 6, 2005 @ 1:20 PM EST
Sorry for the delay with this announcement, but as of yesterday, the ACForums were back online. If anyone is experiencing account trouble, please be sure to contact accounts@megadoomer.com and include your username. If you haven't registered yet--what are you waiting for? :)

Some General Updates
Posted by AquaDoctorBob on September 4, 2005 @ 9:04 PM EST
I noticed the bar underneath the logo still said Fall 2005 -- this has, er, been fixed now. :) The official site for ACDS now says December 5th as well.

Regarding the texture database -- I don't write vaporware, so don't worry, the new system will be up eventually. I've got to recode a very large portion of it and I've been monumentally busy what with entering college and all. Currently, I'm working on updating the format of the characters page, so expect some changes there soon.

By now, I'm sure you've seen all the Did You Know tips over there on the right side of the screen. If you've got a handy bit of information you think would go well there, send it to me!

Have you turned your AC:WW town into a Water World?
 Yes, yay for Nintendo Power!
Eh, I came up with a world design of my own.
Nope, I don't have the time to do that kind of thing.
 Water World...?
