Camp Hyrule Starts Today!
Posted by Jess on August 15, 2005 @ 1:04 PM EST
Disappointed to find that the forums are down? Well, if you registered for Camp Hyrule 2005, come on down to the campgrounds and join the various AXAers participating in today's opening activities. For those of you who didn't sign up for camp this year--no worries! We'll be posting any Animal Crossing information that we find out.

Happy Camping!

New Totakeke MP3s Up!
Posted by Mr.Cool on August 15, 2005 @ 3:48 AM EST
As promised five new Totakeke MP3s are up on the MP3 page! In addition, the MP3s are now tagged to properly display the song information in your media player. Our bad for not having that taken care of on the first wave.

Forum Outage
Posted by Nickolis on August 12, 2005 @ 12:08 PM EST
The last few days the forums have been tossing out a lot of errors, but I hadn't yet pinpointed the problem. I believe I have now pinpointed the problem, but it will require the forums to be down for an extended time (Friday through part of Monday, I imagine.) This should allow me time to fix them without worry of corrupting the database further.

Animal Crossing Clock
Posted by Jess on August 11, 2005 @ 3:04 PM EST
Nintendo has been sending out emails to various nintendo.com users asking them to participate in an online survey about the Wi-Fi network. As we all know, Animal Crossing DS is one of the first games slated to take advantage of the Wi-Fi feature so it's not incredibly surprising that Nintendo is giving away a downloadable Animal Crossing Clock for filling out the survey. The clock, in fact, is part of the survey itself--it collects information on your internet connection and sends it back to Nintendo (which you can opt to send or not send).

For those of you wondering what the clock looks like, just switch on your GCN version of Animal Crossing. It's the time-date display we all know and love. It even chimes on the hour. :)

You can access the Wi-Fi survey at http://www.nintendo.com/user_survey/wifi.jsp if you didn't get an email, but you need to be a registered member of www.nintendo.com in order to access it.

What makes the DS different...?
Posted by Jess on August 10, 2005 @ 9:52 PM EST
Since a few people have been asking how Animal Crossing DS will differ from Animal Crossing for Game Cube, we've added a new page to the DS section enumerating some of the changes to the game. A very special thanks to AXA forum goer Totey for compiling the information for us.

Never lose an item again
Posted by AquaDoctorBob on August 10, 2005 @ 6:54 PM EST
Are you sick and tired of typing in trade codes over and over, only to find out that they don't work?

I was too, so when my feathered friend Crowster pointed out that I could write an online code checker, I did. After a bit of research, and with a few minor modifications to the code of MooglyGuy and Gary Kertopermono, I am proud to present the AXA Code Checker.

Just type in some data and the code you were sent. If the code has a few mistakes, they'll be corrected and you'll be given a brand-new, working code.

Well, what are you waiting for? Go check it out! Ha ha, get it? Oh, man, I'm so awesome!

Totakeke MP3s Live!
Posted by Mr.Cool on August 7, 2005 @ 3:10 PM
A veritable goldmine of Animal Crossing music delights awaits you in our newly renovated Totakeke MP3 Page, which you can also now access through the navbar. The new section will allow for the download of 5 MP3s a week and includes not only the various K.K. songs (with vocals!), but additional music from other parts of the game. Enjoy!

New Face guide
Posted by Crowster on August 4, 2005 @ 3:30 AM EST
I went to start a new town the other day when I realized ... the face guide we once had ... was GONE! I imagine it probably died some time ago when the server crashed, and we lost a bunch of content. Anyway, I went ahead and made a brand new one, complete with vector drawings of each possible face. Much better than the old text descriptions we used to have. You can find it here, or click the "Face Guide" link over at the left menu.

What do you think?

We'd like to hear from you. Love the new layout? Hate it? Have a suggestion? Let us know!
